Goatacre Manor Care Centre

Goatacre Manor Care Centre is situated in the hamlet of Goatacre, which nestles between the Wiltshire towns of Calne and Lyneham. It is located in picturesque countryside and enjoys substantial views of the Wiltshire Downs.  It is conveniently situated for Calne, Lyneham, Wootton Bassett, Chippenham and Swindon areas.

Goatacre Manor Care Centre comprises a Grade II listed stone building, which was originally registered in the 1635 ‘Book of Devizes’. The premises has been extentensively and tastefully developed by the present owners Mr and Mrs O’Dea  with   further refurbishment and building  to be completed during  2006.

The Home currently has 35 high quality rooms providing 42 beds, each of which benefits from modern facilities. There are substantial and attractive lounges and dining facilities with all meals being prepared in the Home’s kitchen.

Goatacre Manor Care Centre has its own large enclosed gardens, with an extensive range of herbaceous borders and established flora. The gardens also include a spectacular mature yew tree which forms the logo for the Home.

Since becoming a Home for the elderly in 1986, Goatacre Manor Care Centre has established an enviable reputation for providing high quality nursing and residential care. The main focus of the Home is      to provide  the highest standard of care for its Residents which   is achieved by applying   its Quality Procedures rigorously throughout the Home and by employing qualified nurses and  trained   care staff who are dedicated to providing that high quality of care.

The Home also employs a full-time trainer (who is also a trained nurse), to ensure that all staff are supported in receiving the appropriate nursing and care training and are regularly assessed for competence and performance.

Goatacre Manor Care Centre is a member of the Registered Nursing Home Association (as signified by its prestigious Blue Cross accreditation) and is also registered with the National Care Standards Commission, both of which inspect the Home regularly to ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained.
